The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone is magnificent and full of color. The lower falls where the Yellowstone River takes a tumble is magnificent. Doesn't Lu look great? RVing agrees with her.
We saw this wonderful hare there. She was huge when she jumped in front of us on her way to her hiding place. She was the color of dirt with beautiful white feet and white partially up her legs. We believe she was a snow shoe hare whose color changes from brown to white in the winter.
We'll be heading to the Grand Tetons tomorrow as the cloud cover in Yellowstone and the fires are causing a bit of smoke to settle in the valleys. We've been very lucky this summer. We've had one rainy day and two cloudy days. No whining here.

Jane, another great set of pictures and commentary! The colors are beautiful and the animals most interesting. LuAnn, are elk the only animals that twiggle?
The trip must be going exceedingly well - even Jet hasn't had much to complain about lately!
We'll be out of touch for about a week - going to Missouri to visit some friends whom we met on a trip last March. It isn't worth the hassle to take a laptop through airport security.
