8-17 Here we go again!

Yep, you guessed it. Clever you. Daybreak again and Ahmad and I are heading out to get those moose photos we missed yesterday. We know they're here.

How nice. They are on the campground side of the river this morning just waiting for us I think. The sun is just starting to break the horizon and they are headed to the river. That's Mom in the middle and her son in the front and daughter in the rear. We've seen them often.

Across the side channel of the river they go to get to those wonderful greens on the other side. All kids need to eat their veggies.

Mom is a bit nervous about something on the other side of the river. I don't think it's that I don't have her best side facing my camera. Sometimes you take what you can get. She wasn't responding to my requests to pose the family. Of course our family isn't big on the "pose" either so why should I expect a moose to cooperate?

Hey Sis, Mom's leaving - we better get out of here!

We looked up as Mom and her babes were leaving and we saw the reason why she was so concerned. We watched as a Black Bear and her two cubs crossed the river in the direction of the campground just around the bend from us . Ahmad took off after them. I, of course, used better judgment and stayed back. Unfortunately they were out of good camera range for me and Ahmad didn't catch them. Or...maybe that's fortunately?

JET here: Sorry, I couldn't let that one go by. I'm watching her from afar. She used good judgment?? Have you ever known her to before? She just couldn't jump all those sage bushes as fast as Ahmad...and that's a fact.

I like the bubble that said, "Sis, mom is leaving we'd better hurry."
