On our return from the plains of Montana we picked up Ron’s
kayak from REI in Bozeman, Montana , in one piece this time. This third kayak came in with no damage. We were thinking we might go to Glacier
National Park for a bit but once Ally returned we all looked at each other and
said, “Let’s head home (the Tetons, that is) where we can play, play,
play. We were anxious to get those
kayaks in the water.
One thing we’ve learned is that if you want to play hard you
have to work hard. We think we’re in the
moving business. We have duffels for hiking,
biking, and kayaking equipment, plus racks for bikes and kayaks...in the car,
out of the car, back in the car, off the car, on the car...and so on it
goes.
Proper attire is a must!
We’ve come to String Lake to paddle for a bit and try Ron’s kayak for the first time. Ally, of course, was first in the water in Pop’s new kayak. Will Pop get to use his kayak today? Maybe, if he’s good.

I get to paddle my kayak for just a bit before...
...Ally decided she wanted to try my kayak and let Ron try
his. He likes it. That’s a good thing. He likes that big cockpit.
Pop had better not think he’s going to pass Ally. She’s not going to let that happen. We had a really fun day. I think these kayaks are going to make for
some good times on the water.
