Jet here:
I knew it would happen. I knew they would come around to my way of thinking. It got a little warm here at Rex Hale Campground last Friday and so they finally moved across the campground to the site that had ameneties - like electricity and water. They immediately turned on the A/C. Before long they'll be staying in my kind of places! I have noticed that now that we've had a couple of storms and it is cool again they haven't moved back to the dry camping side.
By the way, your Rocket Scientist (NOT) friend, Jane, was forgetting to hit the "Save" button when she was trying to unblock earthlink.net. Brilliant, huh? This is no computer wizard. Good thing her friend Sharon, the blog wizard, set up this blog or you'd never know the real truth about that one.
Now the other truth that must come out....Ron wears leotards! Last night he came home from fishing and took off his waders only to expose the fact that he had on black ballet leotards. Jane said he looked like Barishneykov (I have no idea how to spell that and there is no way I'm going to look it up but you know who I mean) and she ran to get her camera. Said something about a blog coming on. Ron ran for the RV before she got her camera. Sorry you missed that photo. He claims they're called "Under Wader Wear". Do you believe that one?
Jane here:
Enough, enough. Let's set the record straight here. It was very hot last Friday. 93 inside the coach which is not bad if there is a breeze. But that day it was still and we were concerned about the dogs so that is why we moved over to the electricity side of the campground. Naturally it cooled down right after we moved. It is supposed to get hot again this Thursday so we have stayed here. Our nightly rate moved from $5 to $7.50 a night. Not so bad. We also have water so that means we've taken lots of showers. We have to be careful not to fill our grey water tank (the okay stuff like shower and sink water) since we don't have a dump station here and don't want to go to town but once a week. We've learned that the outside shower we had put in to wash the dogs works for us too. Nice hot shower under the stars!... and the grey tank stays empty. Just like the tent campers who use those solar showers but we only have to turn the knob to get hot water. Good thing most nights there's no more than 3 rigs here. Lots of privacy and there's no full moon. We're adapting well.
Jet is right about the leotard thing. What a photo that would have been. Ron runs fast for a guy of his delicate age.
There is much excitement in the area right now. The Forest Service Law Enforement are patrolling regularly, the DEA and FBI are in the area and the Nat'l Guard are patrolling. Why? The Hell's Angels are coming in mass to Cody this weekend on their way to Sturgis, SD for the huge motorcycle get together that occurs every year. Must run now as the Forest Service people say get to town now as we need to avoid it the next few days. So must go shop, do laundry, dump tanks before we can't get into town. Headed into Yellowstone on Monday and then on to Bozeman, MT on Aug. 9th to pick up our wild and wooly friend, Lu Ann, for travel north. Ron, two women, two dogs. Just picture it.
