Marian and Paul say "Hi" to their many friends. We spent a fun two days with them in Steamboat Springs, CO last weekend. It was wonderful being provided with laundry service, gourmet food service, tour service and transportation to the vet service. They have a beautiful home with a great view of the ski slopes. How's that sound when the desert is toasty? Our time with them was great. Our time in the Steamboat Campground was not up to par. Must admit I have a bit of an attitude regarding private campgrounds but this one really pushed my button. Lots of people, garbage, doggie stuff, one day of solid rain, etc. Had to stay an extra day to get our dogs to the vet (one visit Friday, one visit Monday). Brea managed to get something stuck up her foot and then she chewed it raw. Denver's delicate stomach was affecting her eating and other unmentionables. Ah, the joys of traveling with dogs. So, $300 later all is well. The vet is happy, the dogs are happy, the credit card company is happy. I'll finally get happy when we get back to the national forest campgrounds.
