You can see from the photo of the Vallecito Lake the results of a huge fire that surrounded the lake about 6 years ago. Most of the ponderosa pine were destroyed but the spruce survived. Now there are meadows and wildflowers. Lemon Lake was not touched. Aren't those beautiful yellow wildflowers at Lemon Lake? Back east we sprayed Scott's each spring to eliminate them. I think the dandelions moved west. Wine anyone?
