We arrived at Vallecito Lake in Bayfield, CO to find very cool, blustery weather. This is Colorado so the weather changes daily. Now we have the beautiful sunshine we’re sure we deserve. Today we moved down to Fred and Ruth’s, friends from our Lazy Daze Southwest group, about a mile down the road from Middle Mountain NFS campground where we stayed on the lake. How many people do you visit who say, “Welcome, come on in, and bring your laundry"? That’s music to our ears and so we did! How tacky is that? What a beautiful home they have with full hook up for RV visitors. Best of all you can walk to fly fish the lake so you know where Ron wanted to go. His hip was giving him a fit so he had taxi service to the lake in Fred’s rhino. His taxi fee?....a freshly caught trout for dinner.
