We will be leaving the Metolius River tomorrow, Sunday, for Sunriver where we’ll get to see Scott, Ally, and Peg and the Clarks, and the Bristols. A Terravita block party in Sunriver! Y’all come now! Scott's playing in a Head Pro Nat'l Championship. That boy still has game! We will miss this river and we definitely plan to return again. We both think this is the most beautiful river we’ve ever seen. The gentleman camped nearest to us told us his wife has a picture of her grandparents camped in this same campground (Gorge NFS) in the 30’s. They were farmers who lived not too far from here and they came in their horse and buggy. Times have changed but the campground has not. Hope it stays this way for future generations.
We’re headed downstream a bit this afternoon so Ron can tackle a different area of the river and then we’ll pack up to be on the road again! Life is most excellent as Denver likes to say!
