A nifty little lake

Sometimes when you don't expect much you're surprised. Idaho's Winchester Lake is such a jewel. Hope someday to come back and spend more time. Ron got in his first evening of flyfishing. It was strange that we were on a lake in the pines but this time no man eating insects. On our way to Winchester we passed along the eastern edge of Hell's Canyon. The wildflowers were magnificent. This one looked just like a miniture ocotillo in yellow. Why didn't I bring a book on wild flowers?
