I know you get tired of my saying how much we love our national forest campgrounds but here's one of the reasons. Here's the view from the Trillium Lake NFS campground just south of Mt. Hood. The sunshine followed us along the Columbia Gorge to Mt. Hood. Our first sighting of the mountain was surprising. Big and white and beautiful. But our views from this wonderful campground were even better. We had this great day to enjoy and took advantage of it. The next morning we had a light rain as we headed up to historic Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood. They're still skiing up there - in June! The lodge is beautiful and as we drove down we could see Trillium Lake just below. Time to head a little south to warm our chilly AZ bones!
