JET here: Can you imagine my embarrassment at being with these yokels? You’d think after a year of this they’d get the hang of it. How could anyone forget to shut THAT valve? I may have to leave this train sooner than later!
Jane here: Minor problem from my perspective here in the rig (sometimes the safest place to be). After that we went off to explore the headwaters of the Metolius River. The river literally bubbles out of springs in the ground and in the distance of just a few hundred feet becomes a good sized river. It’s amazing and beautiful. It was our 43rd anniversary, June 13, as we’d discovered that morning when we checked our atomic clock to see what day it was. To record this auspicious day a gentleman took our photo just a few feet from where the river springs from the ground. Snow covered Mt. Jefferson was in the background but didn’t show up in the photo. We love this river.
